ANDREW JAMES CLARK

Andrew James Clark is a Canadian composer currently residing in Toronto. He is the founder of Classical Context, the President of the Canadian Composers Orchestra, and the Music Director of Heron Park Baptist Church. Andrew's music has been performed both at home and abroad. His professional development includes a Composition Fellowship with the Hamilton Philharmonic, a Conducting Apprenticeship with Orchestra Toronto, participation The Amadeus Choir's Choral Creation Lab and participation in the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra’s New Generation Composition Program. Andrew was recently selected as a NextGen Composer by Gustavo Gimeno and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. His efforts in sustaining a music therapy program for elderly and homeless musicians earned him a Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award. Andrew holds two music degrees from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Music completed under the supervision of Gary Kulesha.
NICHOLAS MA

Nicholas Ma is a pianist-composer whose music explores a dialogue between rhythmic vitality, playfulness, and contemplative rigor. Some recent accolades include two SOCAN Foundation Young Composer Awards, McGill’s Luba Zuk Piano Duo Composition Competition Prize, commissions from Esprit Orchestra and the Coalition for Music Education in Canada, and a composer-in-residence position with McGill's Schulich Singers. Other activities include previously serving as the Vice-President of the McGill Association of Student Composers, co-founding the Off-Topic Ensemble’s Mentorship Program, and being the composer for the 2022/23 Music Monday program. Additionally, he serves on the Vivier InterUniversitaire Committee, the NextGen Advisory Council, and as a Composition Area Representative for the McGill Music Graduate Students' Society. His primary teachers include Marina Mdivani for piano and Eliot Britton, Melissa Hui, Jean Lesage, and Chris Paul Harman for composition. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Composition at McGill with a full scholarship.
NICOLE MAGIRIAS

Nicole Magirias is a Canadian composer currently based in Toronto. In June of 2023, she participated in Eastman’s study abroad course in Paris, titled Theory and Analysis of Contemporary Music, where she studied with Prof. Robert Hasegawa and engaged with events at IRCAM and ManiFeste. She was selected to participate in the Canadian Composer’s Orchestra’s Digital Generations program for its 2023-2024 season, as well as for the 2025 Hamilton International Contemporary Music Festival; her music has been performed at Toronto’s Arts & Letters Club and the University of Toronto. Nicole is a fifth year undergraduate student at UofT, pursuing a double major in History, Culture & Theory and Composition. At UofT, Nicole studies composition with Larysa Kuzmenko, and has previously studied with Stephen Morris and Nolan Hildebrand. Nicole’s compositions explore possible connections between new and old music styles, forms, and techniques, and she always strives to express stories or concepts in her work as a firm believer in music’s storytelling capabilities.

Domenic Clark serves as the production coordinator for all Canadian Composer’s Orchestra shoots and events. Renowned for her expertise in coordinating technical and artistic teams, she ensures seamless collaboration during film shoots involving musicians and actors, spanning from pre-production to post production. Her formal education includes degrees both from the University of Toronto and the Koninklijk Conservatorium in the Hague. As a composer, her works have been featured in International Festivals such as Fringe Festival in Toronto, Spring Festival (Den Haag), and presented concert spaces such as the Four Seasons Center, Korzo Theatre, Randolph Theatre, Trinity St. Paul’s Centre, Music Gallery, Array Space, and Theatre Het Spui.
